This Chanel Paris Map Tote is what happens when Chanel decides to make a souvenir bag and, naturally, makes it approximately a thousand times better.
From the 2005/2006 Cruise Collection, the bag is crafted in multicolored printed canvas featuring an abstract map of Paris in soft peach, cream, turquoise, yellow and orange. The star of the whole thing is the embroidered and sequined Eiffel Tower on the front, while the oversized red handles spell out CHANEL PARIS in white lettering. It's playful, graphic and wonderfully un-serious for Chanel.
The tote has a roomy shape with exterior slip pockets and a top zip closure, making it considerably more practical than its very cute appearance suggests. The leather piping and silver-tone hardware finish it off, while the mix of textures makes the whole bag feel almost like a little piece of wearable travel memorabilia.

The giant red CHANEL PARIS handles, the little sequined Eiffel Tower, the illustrated map... there is absolutely nothing quiet-luxury about this one, and thank God for that. It feels like something you'd buy in Paris after making several financially questionable decisions and deciding they were all part of the experience. Wear it with denim, a white dress, ballet flats, or basically anything that needs a little twist.
