Before Flora became one of Gucci’s most recognizable prints, it started with a very special commission. Created by illustrator Vittorio Accornero in 1966 for Princess Grace of Monaco, the original Flora motif imagined an entire botanical world filled with flowers, plants, butterflies and tiny insects. More than half a century later, it remains one of the house’s most iconic archival designs.
This vintage crossbody comes from Flora’s early decades at Gucci, pairing the ivory botanical print with deep blue leather and gorgeous old-school Gucci details. The oval Double G plaque sits at the front, while the bag is accompanied by two gold-tone knight crest charms, a signature found on Gucci bags from the 1970s and early vintage era. Inside, the original gold “Made in Italy by Gucci” branding gives us another little clue to its age.
Small, structured and ridiculously charming, it has a long leather strap with a padded shoulder section, a full zip closure and an interior zip pocket. And yes, she comes with a vintage Gucci dustbag too.

Bossa Notes: Gucci really said why carry a normal little blue bag when it could also be an entire Renaissance garden? The Flora print is already one of those Gucci designs we will never get tired of, but on an early vintage crossbody with the old knight charms, blue leather and original vintage dustbag? We’re obsessed. Tiny flowers, insects, gold hardware, 1970s Gucci... she has absolutely no interest in minimalism, and neither do we. Wear her with denim and a white tank and let a 50-year-old bag do all the talking. We're dying to see who will take this rare and special piece home!
